About Trusted Heating & Air Conditioning
Trusted Heating & Air Conditioning is an owner-operated heating and air conditioning company based in McKinney, serving all of Collin County since 2022. The owner has spent more than 20 years in HVAC, and he still runs the estimates himself.
Who you’re dealing with
A lot of HVAC companies in North Texas are private-equity roll-ups running commissioned “comfort advisors” whose paycheck depends on selling you a system. We’re not that. This is a local, independent company where the person quoting your job has spent two decades installing and fixing the equipment, and earns the same whether you repair or replace. That’s why our advice sometimes lands on “don’t spend the money yet.”
Credentials you can check yourself
Don’t take our word for any of this. Every item below has a public record behind it:
- Texas license: TDLR Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Contractor TACLA152199C, active through June 10, 2027. Verify it in seconds at the TDLR license search.
- EPA Section 608: our technicians are certified to handle refrigerant, which federal law requires for the work we do.
- BBB A+: accredited since October 2025. The BBB profile is public.
- Reviews: 5.0 from 120 Google reviews. Read them before you call.
How we work
Education first. Before we quote anything, we’d rather show you what’s actually wrong and what the free fix is, if there is one. Prices are given as a range up front, you approve the exact number before work starts, and nobody gets a commission for talking you into a bigger ticket. We answer the phone 24/7, run same-day calls, and service both R-410A systems and the newer R-454B equipment.
What we do
- AC repair, 24/7, most fixed the same day
- AC replacement and high-efficiency upgrades
- Heating repair for gas furnaces and heat pumps
- Maintenance and tune-ups, smart thermostats, and indoor air quality
- Financing for larger jobs
Where we work
McKinney is home base. We cover all of Collin County plus Plano: Allen, Frisco, Prosper, Celina, Wylie, Murphy, Princeton, Anna, Melissa, Fairview, Farmersville, Lucas, and Parker.
Why we publish research
Our resources section exists because an educated customer is easier to work with and harder to rip off. The verified guide to who makes each HVAC brand, the quality-installation checklist, and the repair-or-replace guide all hold us to the same standards we ask you to hold every other bidder to.
Talk to the People Who Do the Work
No call center, no commission. Tell us what your system’s doing and we’ll tell you the next step, even when the next step is free.
